TestMint ("TestMint", "we", "us") operates a marketplace where coaching institutes publish mock tests and students discover, purchase, and attempt them. This policy explains what information we collect from students, institutes, and visitors, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using TestMint, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. Institute accounts additionally provide an institute name, description, city/state, website, and optionally a logo and cover image.

Test activity. When you attempt a test, we record your answers, timing, score, rank, and percentile so we can show you results and leaderboards, and so institutes can see performance on their own tests.

Purchase information. When you buy a paid test or subscription, payment is processed by our payment partner, Dodo Payments. TestMint never receives or stores your card, UPI, or bank details — we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, along with an order and payment reference.

Content you submit. Institutes upload questions, answer options, explanations, and test metadata. Students may submit reviews of tests and institutes, and messages sent through our contact form.

Technical information. Like most web services, we automatically log IP address, browser/device type, and timestamps for security, abuse prevention (e.g. rate-limiting login and contact-form attempts), and troubleshooting.

2. How we use it

  • To create and secure your account, including email verification and login via one-time codes
  • To process test and subscription purchases and grant access to what you've bought
  • To calculate and display your results, rank, and percentile on tests you attempt
  • To send transactional emails — verification codes, purchase confirmations, results, payout and approval notices — via our email delivery provider, Inboxili
  • To let institutes see aggregate and per-student performance data for their own tests only — never another institute's data
  • To calculate institute revenue share and process payouts
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
  • To respond to support requests submitted through the contact form
  • To improve the platform — understanding which tests and categories are popular, diagnosing errors, and planning new features

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as needed to run the platform:

  • Dodo Payments — processes all payments and subscription billing. They receive your name, email, and the amount charged; they never receive your account password.
  • Inboxili — delivers our transactional emails (OTPs, receipts, notifications) on our behalf and processes your email address and message content solely for that purpose.
  • Institutes — see results and analytics only for tests they publish, and only for students who attempted those specific tests. Institutes never see your email, phone, or payment details.
  • Law enforcement or regulators — only where required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TestMint, our users, or the public.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and, where required, we will ask for your consent first.

5. Data retention

We keep account and test-activity data for as long as your account is active, so your history, results, and entitlements remain available to you. Financial records (orders, payments, refunds, payouts) are retained for as long as required by applicable accounting and tax law even after an account is closed. When you request deletion, we remove or anonymize personal data that we are not legally required to keep.

6. Data security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard one-way hashing (bcrypt) — we cannot see your actual password, and neither can our support staff. All traffic to TestMint is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Institute dashboards are scoped so an institute can only ever query its own tests, questions, and students. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep these protections current.

7. Children and students under 18

Many TestMint users are students preparing for school-leaving or competitive exams and may be minors. We collect only the account information described above and do not knowingly collect more than is needed to provide the service. If you are under the age required to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction, you should use TestMint with the involvement of a parent or guardian, particularly for any paid purchase.

8. Your rights and choices

You can review and update most of your account details from your profile at any time. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate data, or request deletion of your account and associated personal data, by contacting us using the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. Some information (e.g. financial records tied to a transaction) may be retained as described in section 5 even after a deletion request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes that affect how we use your data, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, such as by email or a notice on the platform.

10. Contact us

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent through our contact form. See also our Terms of Service and Refund Policy.
